The Barrow Breaker!

The vampiric noble courts of Itheria found ancient rituals to create The Barrow Breaker. An unwavering sentinel made from flesh and stone. Few know that the ritual requires many living sacrifices, but to the nobility of Itheria it is simply like any other material component for a spell.

Gazing upon their horrifying creations, they knew they would need to be 'decorated' for the dark streets of Itheria. They locked the Barrow Breakers in decorative armour and fine cloth garments hoping to make them less horrifying to the commonfolk. The mask in particular covers the grim reality that these constructs are made with a terrible form of necromancy.

These huge construct do not speak as the their fleshy veils that cover their skulls don't have a mouth. Instead they speak through strange vibrations, humming and droning that can reach great distances. Their abdomens open up and reveal large stone crushing maws within. If that wasn’t bad enough, each one carries a huge magical sledgehammers. Those that would run from them would learn that they can throw their weapons at distant targets and they would fly back into the hands of the Barrow Breaker.

Now the vampiric nobles of Itheria have strange droning sentinels to hunt down those that oppose them or to protect their estates from their enemies. Few dare to engage with such horrors as it would most likely mean certain death.
