Sortis, The Blind Tortle Oracle
The Cult of The Comet Lord captured a lone tortle while trying to make sense of their mad ravings. In the end the decided that they would 'line his shell with eyes' so that the tortle could see beyond the material plane.
Sortis' shell was carved into a crude sculpture of eyes and his eyes were gouged out as he would no longer need them as far as the cult was concerned. His body broken and spirit at it's breaking point, he was rescued by a warrior from his colony.
At the dead of night on a stormy coastal cliff, the cult couldn't stop Torok from breaking into their hideout and crushing any in his path. He didn't have the dark blood magic to help his at this point, but he was a trained hunter of things much scarier than cultists.
Sortis was rescued, but scarred for life. His strange new powers would help him aid his colony. Sortis would create a dark order in the colony that would eventually join orders outside their colony. Together they keep the world safe from otherworldly monsters.
Sortis now uses his ancient blood magic and supernatural sight to aid the colony and the Bloodhunter Orders.
