The Deviation of Form
After defeating the hordes of Living Failures and the Malformed Beast - this strange plane of existence had more horrors hidden in the shadows beyond.
Out in the sea of darkness, a warm yellow glow could be seen. It was there only heading, so they made the journey towards the only light to be seen. Maybe it was another gateway out of this place? Maybe something else that isn't made this strange living clay?
Travelling across the otherworldly landscape of sculpted clay covered in finger prints felt like it took ten times as long to cover any ground. The smell of iron that lingered in the air was overwhelming and nauseating.
They eventually found themselves at the base of a plateau - the strange light emanated from the top of the clay rise. The climb proved to be tough on even the strongest of the adventurers - the clay had a hardened shell that shattered when struck and gave way to soft clay.
When they finally reached a place to rest, they realized that they were nearly at the top. This section of the plateau had carved stairs that up to the top.
They could hear the sound of metal and stone clanging above. A deep heavy breathing and grumbling - a sense of frustration from whatever it was.
However, as soon as they stepped upon the stairs to the pinnacle of this place - a creature emerged the clay walls beside the stairs.
Another clay horror, except this one was greater than the rest. Its form was even more uneven with a large arm composed of many arms and tendrils. A great set of wings stretched out from one side of its body. Multiple heads looked around and locked onto the party. Most strange of all was the hands found all over its body were the same as the Malformed Beast they had slain before. It was also covered in the same strange finger prints all over its form.
