The experiments of House Revanicus lead to many of the horrors that stalk to shadowy lands of Itheria.
The Lambskin Beast is a unique result from one of their many lycanthrope experiments. It wasn't necessarily what they wished to achieve, but the outcome was fascinating to the vampiric researchers. Its unique ability to continually and violently evolve fascinated Lord Silas Revanicus so much that he demanded it be used immediately.
Soon after its creation, The Lambskin Beast was released in the lower district streets of Richten - the capital of Itheria. It didn't take the beast long to start leaping from rooftop to rooftop seeking helpless prey.Horrific screams echoed throughout the lower district as the guard and conscripted adventurers gathered to hunt the beast. Bells rang to warn everyone to stay inside on this rainy night - a terrible night for a hunt.
Search parties followed the screams and failed to catch the beast, until a party saw it crash through an old chapel window.
The chapel was dimly lit by candles for evening prayers, illuminating the large stained glass windows with a huge hole smashed through it. A flash of lightning reveals the beast in a dark corner of the chapel. As the party approaches they can hear the sounds of the beast loudly chewing its prey until it notices them.
The Lambskin Beast turns around towards the party, the blood soaked fur glistening in the candle light. There sits a large sheep-like lycanthrope crouched over its kill. Before it can charge at them, the sound of bones snapping and flesh tearing comes from the beast as it begins to contort. The beasts torso undulates violently as it seems to rapidly grow in size. Its tough hide stretches as limbs, horns and shards of bone rip from its flesh as it evolves before their eyes.
It lets out a deafening bleat that slowly distorts as a secondary maw erupts from its mouth. A malformed wolf maw busts through its teeth stretching its mouth open even more. The loud bleat now mixed with a deep roar and almost human scream.The horrific beast stands on two legs and extends its numerous limbs as it screams upwards slowly lowering its gaze towards its new prey.
