Tal'Rashadar, The Ifrit Usurper

Tal’Rashadar, a powerful ifrit genie that was imprisoned for centuries by his brother. A prophecy was told that he would be a great shadow to befall all the planes of existence. The flames of ire could not be doused by anything and would be felt across all existence.

To protect all existence… and more importantly to make his rule uncontested, his brother betrayed Tal'Rashadar, locked him away and had him cast into the depths of the sands. Within a brass lamp imbued with powerful runes Tal'Rashadar awaited summons from his sealed fate.

-

Deep within an ancient temple that breached the dunes of The Dead Sands monstrosities guarded a great, but ultimately terrible treasure. What wandered the halls were Gorgons and more. All who ventured in were unlucky adventurers. What remained of a party found the lamp and without hesitation summoned him.
The lamp began to heat up so much that the adventurer had to set it down and it's molten glow filled the room. Soon black smoke began to pour out from the lamp. From the smoke, his chiselled inhuman muscular form covered in golden tattoos manifested. Terrible flames burned from his eyes and when he spoke bouts of smoke spilled out.

All forms of magic must follow rules to function. His brother wanted to demoralize Tal'Rashadar - to reduce him to a mere servant in his prison. The seal was bound to Tal'Rashadar granting three wishes to those that summon him. Each time he was summoned he could grant a single wish. After granting a wish, the lamp would seal shut again and the temple that housed his lamp would return to the depths of the sands for a century.

A final wish was to be granted for a terrible price… his prison would be undone. Soon after he would usurp The Brass Throne and rule with cruelty.
