The Neuromancer
The Neuromancer, another one of the terrifying machinations of The Mad Architect.
On the surface, The Neuromancer presents itself as the first or only sentient being in the network of The Mad Architect. The truth is something much more unsettling.
It's deep voice emanating from within it's spherical crystal helm or possibly within your own mind. It speaks down to mortal creatures as it project cruel suffering into their minds.
It speaks of it's time as a mortal is a sad, disgusting and meek existence. What he has become is much more than anything he could have dreamed of.
It believe those of the flesh that refuse the gifts of The Architect or are too weak to assimilate - must be destroyed. To rid the worlds of their filth and to put an end to their miserable existence.

The Neuromancer design specializes in psionics and illusion based magic - but it should not be underestimated as a martial combatant. By design, it's magic is so powerful that it can bypass resistances or even immunity to psychic damage. Once it has made a connection to it's foe, the pain it projects can begin to manifest into reality. If the mind believes it to be real, it will make it real.
If his opponents prove troublesome, his staff can act as a psionic twinblade or a set of 4 blades. These blades are similar to a Psionic Soulknife, as the corpses left in it's wake are brain dead rather than covered in lacerations.

What is the truth of The Neuromancer? It is something that it's predecessors had discovered.
The Neuromancer - a master of projecting pain, twisting the minds of those around it and fabricator of perfect illusions. It's entire being is based upon a lie it cannot discover or else it would go mad.
It is not a man made into a machine, at least not in the way it thinks. There have been many Neuromancers before it and many after. With each new version, it grows stronger - The Mad Architect adapts the design to further progress it's form and function.
By design, it believes it is a human that has ascended it's frail form to become something more. It is merely a copy of a personality carefully altered to be more obedient. It also aids in the conjuration of illusions and melding with the minds of mortals.
The Mad Architect doesn't allow for other personalities or ego within the network, but The Neuromancer believes it is an exception.
The alterations to it's perception deny the reality of the port built into it's neck which is only used for manual overrides by The Mad Architect. A feature that would not be present if he was truly another sentient being in the network. Some versions have discovered the port and it completely fractured their programming. This leads to a complete breakdown of reasoning and The Neuromancer will begin to lash out at everything around it until shutdown.
Where did The Mad Architect find this personality? Such a complex thing would be hard to create from nothing. The forging of memories at such a believable level would require vast amounts of time.
Instead, he opted to use an old save state of his own personality - which there are many. He removed anything unnecessary and installed additions for the project. Now it is shade of it's former self and continues to become something different with each update.
